I would have to say that my predicament was a unique one, a hard one too. I'm studying Chemistry A-level and Biology A-level and up until a few months ago, English A-level. However, I'd decided on applying for Chemistry/Biochemistry for university and the courses required Maths as another A-level and by the time I had realised what I really wanted to do, I only had the summer to prepare for a Mock Examination to qualify my entrance to the A2 Maths set. Joe enthusiastically took me on and over July and August, he helped me to effectively commit each topic to muscle memory.

I would say I'm a person who, if I don't know exactly what I'm talking about or what I'm figuring out, will feel around for the right thing. Joe challenged my way of thinking, constantly pushing me be confidently right or confidently wrong (although we always prefer the former) so I can backtrack where I made a mistake in my thinking. Although I had a lot of slip ups in schedule or didn't give myself enough time spent on a particular chapter, he helped me to pull through and I ended up qualifying for the Maths A2 set!

Right now, I am doing just as well as the rest of my friends in the Maths set, and at some points, understanding concepts quicker, with one of my new Maths teacher saying after a couple lessons that he couldn't tell that I hadn't had a full year of Maths AS which let me know just how far I had come in 2 months. I cannot recommend this tutor enough. Thank you Joe!
